The RWE COMPANiUS Marketplace: simply brilliant, brilliantly simple

Who are the people you want to work for? Come to the marketplace - talk to them! We have drawn inspiration from the national initiative “good business - social marketplaces” and made them a genuine model for success.

The principle: get to know each other, become active

Our marketplaces are events with no pressure, but with frequent coming and going. In a relaxed atmosphere, volunteers from RWE meet charitable organisations in need of support. Contacts are forged and information exchanged. Wonderful RWE COMPANiUS projects arise from these first encounters – to the benefit of the participants, and in the common good. At the last RWE COMPANiUS Marketplace in Cologne, 12 projects were staffed there and then.

International market places

Social market places are a genuine success concept: companies and non-profit organisations meet to negotiate new cooperation deals. The model has attracted considerable interest both in Germany and also internationally.

New website – market places for good business worldwide

Over 250 market places for good business in over 90 towns and cities in Germany have already provided impetus for the development of new social cooperation at the local level. With a new website, the successful method should now be disseminated more strongly at the international level and give even more companies, non-profit organisations and communes a practical entry into the collaboration.

On the website a wide range of helpful working material is available in English and to an extent also in other languages. The page also offers a global list of market place locations. The information and the website was developed by the 'Service point for good business' (Servicestelle Gute Geschäfte).

Since the end of 2010, on behalf of the 'Committee for good business' in which the Bertelsmann Foundation and the companies KPMG and RWE are working together to support and advance the market place method, the 'Service point' has offered a HelpDesk, information and advice, workshops and materials and is therefore supporting the development of market places for companies and non-profit organisations in Germany. The 'Service point for good business' is in the Corporate Citizenship and CSR Network UPJ.
