What is a project

So what exactly is a project?

The RWE Companius definition of a project is a broad one, ranging from projects in nature conservation and environmental protection to energy education and energy efficiency initiatives and initiatives in schools, educational establishments, social institutions and arts and culture. The choice is yours. Building a playground or helping to maintain a nature reserve are two good examples, but RWE Companius also supports voluntary work that is open-ended, such as providing help with homework for schoolchildren. What counts is your personal involvement.

As an initiative of the RWE Group founded to promote community involvement by RWE employees, RWE Companius supports charity work and not-for-profit projects. What counts is the active involvement of RWE employees. Employees can initiate projects of their own, or can act as supervisor for projects proposed by not-for-profit organisations, initiatives and clubs outside RWE. The conditions for taking part explain very clearly the criteria a project has to meet to receive funding from RWE Companius. Have a look at some of our past projects and be inspired!
