The Mülheim-based Centrum für Bürgerschaftliches Engagement e. V. is committed to developing worthwhile projects and finding interesting assignments for volunteers.

Private individuals, groups and companies that are interested in community involvement, but need a leg-up to get them started will find the Centrum für Bürgerschaftliches Engagement e. V. (CBE) to be the perfect partner. The organisation pairs up assignments and volunteers, develops projects, promotes corporate citizenship and corporate volunteering and does lots of publicity work to promote awareness of the many different benefits of community involvement.

RWE Companius cooperates with the CBE on a regular basis. It was the CBE, for example, that proposed many of the projects in the RWE Companius winter programme 2008/2009, which thanks to the support of numerous dedicated RWE employees have since been seen through to completion.
