Conditions for taking part

Would you like to request RWE Companius funding for your project? Nothing could be easier! Before filling in the project application form, first read the funding criteria and conditions for taking part:

  • the funding is required to support an initiative that is clearly voluntary in nature – e.g. what is being supported is an institution or private initiative such as a school or nursery school, a centre for the disabled or sports club, a care centre for children or senior citizens or has to do with environmental protection,
  • all the applicable laws and regulations have been complied with,
  • the products or services provided, the use to which they are put and the results achieved can be properly documented at the end of the project,
  • the activities are limited to a specific period (there should be no follow-on costs for RWE Companius),
  • the project is not ideologically or religiously motivated, although projects to support nominally religious institutions such as a Catholic nursery school or a Protestant youth camp are of course possible.

Project application:
The completed project application should be submitted to the RWE Companius representative in each RWE subsidiary either by e-mail, fax or via the Internet. You will find the online project application form in the “Projects” section of this page. There is a PDF document for downloading on the start page of www.rwecompanius.com. The personal data provided will be stored and serviced by RWE AG.

Receipt of donation:
Please note that the funding provided constitutes a charitable donation for tax purposes. It follows that as soon as funding has been approved, the project leader must inform the RWE Companius team whether the recipient (which may be a club, a society or private initiative, for example) is entitled to issue a receipt of donation for tax purposes. If such a receipt is issued, it must state clearly that what was received was a monetary donation.

Health and safety:
Many projects require the use of technical equipment and may not be entirely risk-free. All project participants are therefore required to familiarise themselves with the proper equipment required in each case and to wear the necessary protective clothing and gear. First-aid equipment must also be available in situ.
